Bellahouston Park is a delightful urban park established in 1895. It covers an area of a hundred and seventy-five acres and is home to an excellent leisure centre.
The Park has open parkland and formal gardens where you can relax and enjoy views over the city and beyond. On a clear day, you may even see as far as Ben Lomond.
Bellahouston Park & Leisure Centre
The Park is home to an 18 hole pitch & putt course, two bowling greens, childrens’ play areas, a walled garden, an orienteering course and the Popes Wall. The Park was the venue for Pope John Paul ll’s visit in 1982.
The Bellahouston Leisure Centre
The Bellahouston Leisure Centre is a superbly equipped, modern sports centre which accommodates judo, karate, basketball, squash and table tennis.
There is a twenty-five metre indoor pool, an outdoor pool, a fun pool, a hundred foot flume and lazy river rapids for water-lovers to enjoy. For the fitness conscious, you can use the fitness studio and suites or join in aerobics classes.
