The River Festival celebrates the River Clyde. It’s one of the world's most famous rivers. There are a series of events on the water, riverbanks and land. You’ll enjoy displays, exhibitions, performances, sailings and open days on a myriad of craft. There are special activities for children. A great fun day out for everyone.
Barclays Scottish Open
Dates & Location; 10th - 13th July 2008 at Loch Lomond
The Barclays Scottish Open is a major event on the European PGA golf tour. It attracts an impressive field of players from around the world. The open takes place on the stunning and exclusive Loch Lomond course. The course was recently ranked No. 21 in the world's top 100 courses. A great event for golfing enthusiasts.
T in the Park
Dates & Location; 11th - 13th July 2008 at Balado. Perthshire
T In The Park is now in its second decade. The music event has become one of the most important and critically acclaimed on the UK/European festival circuit. T In The Park is named after its main sponsor, the brewing company, Tennants. It was originally held at Strathclyde Park, but has been held next to a disused airfield in Balado, Kinross-shire since 1997. The last tickets were sold in February 2008. The event is only included due its high popularity and to ensure you know it’s now sold out.
Dundee Guitar Festival

Top local and international artists celebrate guitar music in its many forms. There are courses, concerts, guest artists and master classes, a contemporary styles weekend. It features Scotland's
first international guitar competition for young performers. A must for guitar lovers.
Strathmore Vintage Vehicle Club (SVVC Extravaganza)
Dates & Location; 12th & 13th July 2008 at Glamis Castle, Forfar
Glamis Castle plays host to the annual Strathmore Vintage Vehicle Society's Scottish Transport Extravaganza. Over 800 vintage cars and other vehicles are on display. Motor enthusiasts shouldn’t
miss this thrilling event. There are attractions, a craft tent, numerous stalls, marching pipe bands
and a children's area to enjoy during this fun family day out.
