Lanark Medieval Festival
Dates & Location; 16th & 17th August 2008 in Lanark
The festival is attended by hundreds of re-enactors and medieval traders. They hail from North Scotland, Cornwall and Ireland. The turns the town back to the time of William Wallace. There’s a tented army and soldiers and camp followers explain how they lived in the 13th Century. There are archery competitions, jesters and jugglers, falconry displays, demonstrations, medieval musicians and storytellers. A great family adventure.
West Highland Yachting Week

A leading international yachting event in Scotland. The West Highland Yachting Week moves from centre to centre during the event. It offers competitors an ever-changing scene around eighty miles of beautiful Scottish coastline. You can enjoy the regatta's social programme.
Edinburgh Military Tattoo

One of Scotland’s most popular events. This annual outdoor military show is set against the magnificent backdrop of Edinburgh Castle. It is seen by an international TV audience of around 100 million every year. Up to 217,000 people attend over the three week season the Esplanade. A great Scottish institution.

The Festival Fringe takes place in Edinburgh over three weeks. It’s a stunning exhibition of cultural and artistic expression. The vibrant mix of art forms include comedy, theatre, music and musicals, dance, events and exhibitions and children's shows. A diverse Festival for all tastes.
Ayr Flower Show

The Ayr Flower Show at takes place in the Rozelle Estate. It attracts the best of UK growers and a wide range of gardening suppliers. The show celebrates gardening and outdoor living. It has over 350 trade stands with hundreds of amateur competitive classes. The show attracts around 30,000 visitors every year.
