The railway is operated by volunteers of the Scottish Railway
Preservation Society.  The volunteers have brought together Scotland's
largest railway heritage collection since 1961. They carry out
restoration work on the collection, and are responsible for the
operation and maintenance of all aspects of the railway.]]></description>
