River bugging is a fun activity to arrive in Scotland from New Zealand, the origin of the bungee jump. The river bug is a single-person white water craft, and weighs around fifteen pounds.  It is very easy to manoeuvre after you have received training.

The river bug can travel through white water ranging from grades 1 - 3.  It can be used to do stunts such as pirouettes, and it can run small rapids.  For the experienced white water enthusiast, grades 1 - 3 may not appear exactly extreme, but when you are in the river bug as the water splashes around you, and you are zipping past rocks and going over the occasional drop, it may change your mind.

Ideal rivers for river bugging are those that have a current that will transport you along, meaning you only have to propel the river bug to stay on course and play. You should navigate the rapids facing downstream as you propel the river bug against the current.  Bigger waves and shoots are faced straight on.Splash White Water Rafting river bug in the River Tummel, Pitlochry, River Tay, Aberfeldy, and River Feshie, Aviemore.
