bold;">kies are seaside faeries.  They are found near to the Scottish lochs, the Hebrides and the Orkney Islands.  Their appearance is that of a seal, but they are changelings.  They have the power to shed their skin and appear as human males and females.  

Selkies have very jealous natures and sometimes take human partners. They often tire of them and leave them to die with broken hearts.  The selkies are believed to know the secrets of the oceans.
