Culzean Castle and Country Park was gifted to the National Trust by the Kennedy family and covers a total of five hundred and sixty-three acres. Robert Adams designed the Castle and it is regarded as his final masterpiece.  The castle is associated with the turbulent history of the Clan Kennedy.

The castle contains an exquisite collection of pictures and 18th Century furniture alongside an armoury which was  set up in the 19th century.  The beautiful Oval Staircase is Robert Adam’s final masterpiece of interior design.

The top floor was given to General Eisenhower as a token of Scotland’s recognition of his role during World War II.  You can see an Eisenhower Exhibition in the castle which tells of the General and his visits to Culzean.  Culzean was Scotland's first Country Park created in 1969.

Mature parklands and gardens, the Fountain Court, Swan Pond, Ruined Arch, Ice House, the beautiful Camellia House and a unique Pagoda can all be enjoyed.
