The Scottish Sea Life Sanctuary is situated amongst the pine trees beside the shores of Loch Crenan.
The sanctuary cares for many sick, injured and orphaned common and grey seal pups every year.  You can experience what a seal pup rescue is like through the eyes of an abandoned pup.

The journey begins with the SOS call-out, moving on to intensive care, building up the pup's energy ready for release, and to its final return to the wild. The resident seals have regular feeding times and enjoy seeing visitors. The sanctuary has a multi-dimensional sea aquarium where you can see a fascinating collection of creatures from starfish, shrimps and stingrays. There is a range of interesting talks and feeding demonstrations from the sanctuary’s team of marine experts.

Otter Creek is a special sanctuary for otters with underwater viewing.  The Loch Creran Experience is an amazing touch pool experience which allows visitors to get up close and personal to a collection of wildlife.

Opening Times

Daily from 10am, except Christmas Day.  Please check with the centre for winter closing times, as these may vary.
